The Hamsa

The Hamsa is a palm shaped amulet. Over the years many have asked me if it’s a “Jewish thing” and the truth is, No. It’s known all over the world as a powerful symbol.

Some believe it to be a powerful symbol guiding them as they journey though life as it protects and wards off any evil, illnesses or harm. Some believe it brings good fortune and harmony.

Some say it helps them reflect their inner vision and understanding. Some believe the Hamsa to be good luck for traveling, or a blessing over their home, car, office, medical facility, etc and some wear them as jewelry from key chains, rings to earrings; all over the world.

I began designing Hamsas many years ago. I create the Hamsa for Your heart and home.

It has never been a religious item to me. Rather, it has been a reminder to me, that there is always someone to give my own hand to whether it is helping them or holding them.

When I artfully create and embellish each Hamsa with my own hands, it represents giving, receiving and a touch like no other. Our hands help us pray. They hold, carry, push forward, protect and bless. I think the biggest reminder for me when I am creating these is: There is always a hand to help us feel more courage, faith, love, compassion, and empathy if we reach out.

My hopes are that my signature Hamsas remind you that we are never alone, that we not carry our burdens alone. I hope you hang the one in a place where it will remind you how beautiful your life truly is or that your hands gift another with one so they can do the same.

My motto has always been, “though my eyes to my heart and soul and through my hands”
